We went to a consignment sale today.  There they had a balloon guy.  Emerson saw that he made Spiderman Balloons.  He just had to have it.  He has been playing with it since he got it.

We went to Oaks Park with the Fields.  Emerson and Forest rode their first "big" roller coaster, and they HATED it.  The whole time they screamed, "This is too scary".

Emerson has started "tying" knots.  He just wraps it around and around the rope. It is so cute.

We had the Field kids over to play today while they had the movers at their house.  They have been such great friends.  We are going to miss them.

My mom is in town and we went shopping today.  Emerson keeps asking to be Captain America for Halloween.  I am not a huge fan of "character" costumes, so I bought this costume as a back up in case I can't figure out how to convince him to be just a "super hero".

I made a Halloween subway word art and a Keep Calm sign today.  I love decorating for Halloween.

We went to the Zoo with the Fields and the Blakes today.  It is going to be our last trip with the Fields for a long time since they are going to leave us for Austrailia in a couple weeks.  We are going to miss them!

I started decorating for Halloween today.  I know it might be a little early, but I love Halloween, and I love these bats!

Our ward worked on the Angel Dolls for the hospital today.  We actually finished it even though we had two more Saturdays scheduled to work on them.  It was a fun service project to be part of.

For the fall, I put Emerson into a beginning gymnastics class called "Kindergym". It is ultimately a free for all play on the equipment in a safe enviroment.

What does this mean for Emerson?

He gets to do his favorite things...balancing, hanging off of things, and jumping off of things. This class was designed for him.

Sonic just opened in our mall.  Which means that we will probably be getting corn dogs there every time we go.  Emerson is a little obsessed with them at the moment.

We bought Emerson some new underpants today!  He got to choose them out.  SO, of course, if they had super hero underpants, it will be going home with us.  He loeved wearing so much batman today.

My first perk of having a "potty trained" child: getting a free hour to shop Fred Meyer without him. (I would NOT say that he is potty trained, but he is daytime accident free for about a week and only one accident at night. That is with constant reminders and many forced sits. But we are getting closer!)

We went to Papa's Pizza again today.  We love it there.

For "school time" today, we are learning about the color green.  Emerson loved mixing blue and yellow to make green.

I have started working on indexing on Sundays.  I have really enjoyed doing this.

I worked on getting ready for Super Saturday today.  We are making these cute yarn wreaths as one of the projects.

We went to the symphony in the park tonight with a bunch of our friends.  It is really enjoyable.  We stayed after for a while and played with glow sticks.
