2011: Day 212 of 365

We went on a walk after church today to the park in Sugar City.  This park is a special place for our little family.  It is the place where after swinging on January 2, 2005, Jason first asked to kiss me.  Then it is also the place that on March 2,, 2005 Jason got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.  I love this park and love taking Emerson there whenever we come visit.

For the next week, we are going to be in Sugar City, ID with almost all of Jason's family. It will be the first time in 5 years since all of us have been together. The only person that will be missing is Julie, Jason's older sister. We can't wait to meet all of our family. I have only met Jason's brother and his family once in the six years that we have been married. It should be a week full of fun, trips, and catching up. We are so excited!

Emerson is finally showing any interest in potty training.  For his award of going on the potty he gets a popcycle.  He loves showing off his toungue color after eating his popcycle.

we wore Emerson out today.  We went to Hillsboro's celebration.  They had food, dancing, concerts, face paint, and bouncy houses.  Emerson spent a good hour on the bouncy house, so he was definately tired when we got home.  I was wanting to get a picture of his face paint, but he didn't want to cooperate, but I totally understand.

These are Emerson's friends--Robot, Bear, Bot, and Ellie.  He really loves them.  He is always looking out to protect them.  He is the sweetest kid.

2011: Day 202 of 365

For the past few weeks, Emerson has eaten the same thing for breakfast--yogurt and cereal. This started when Jason brought home granola to eat with his yogurt. Which that sounds just fine, but then we ran out of granola, so Emerson asked for cereal. Jason then gave it to him and he has loved it ever since. He will ask for pretty much any cereal in it...including the chocolate cereal.

We had my enrichment tonight.  I am so happy with out it turned out.  It was a "Girls Camp" theme.  We had dinner, a craft, learned to "tie knots" (tying a quilt), and a campfire with smores.  I think that the sisters all had a good time, and I loved planning this enrichment meeting.

Emerson loves to dance.  If music comes on in a movie, he is up and dancing.  He does ballet type dancing to slow music and break dancing type during fast.  I love it.

We are in the process of reinstating quiet time...not naptime...in the afternoons.  Though Emerson has been falling asleep every day this week.  Today I went in to get him out of quiet time, and he was completely covered and snuggling his plane.  Too cute.

we emptied Emerson's piggy bank and counted up how much money he has.  Then he spent a half hour or so putting the coins back in.  He loved it.

Emerson is playing Candy Land by himself...well his made up version, while singing his own rendition of "Old McDonald Had a Farm". I love happy, laid back days like the one I am having today.

We had playgroup at a park over by Jason's work that I have never been to.  It seemed like it was geared more for a older kid, but they had some really fun things there.  They had a climbing gym that spins, fountains, and a swing that can fit many kids.  It was a lot of fun.

I made the cute little chalk boards to put our at the enrichment I am planning for next week.  I think that they turned out looking great!

Emerson has been getting more and more curious about how things work and watching this happen.  So I got him this batman wash cloth and let him watch it as it grew from a block into a wash cloth.  He thought that it was the coolest thing.

Emerson loves helping Jason whenever he gets a chance.  Today, they tackled the car.  We haven't washed in in years, so it looked like a brand new car when they got done with it.

This giraffe rattle is the first of many projects for my soon-to-be newest little nephew.  I love making baby items, and I think that this is sure cute.

This is Emerson and his new friend, Ava.  They have such a great time together.  We went to Wendy's today after playgroup and they played for two hours straight.  I am excited that they moved into our ward.

We had a great Fourth of July.  This morning we went to the Parade in Hillsboro.  During the afternoon we napped and played games.  Then we went to the park for a picnic, games, and fireworks.  It was a great way to celebrate.

I just adore this kid.  He is one of the sweetest little boys that you will ever meet.  I am so blessed to be his mommy.

Amy asked me to make her a "no soliciting" sign so I finally made it today.  I LOVE how it turned out.
