Today I got all dressed up with make up on (a rare occurance these days) to go to the temple.  I love going to the temple.  I just wish that I could do it more often.

We spent a lot of the day in the car.  Emerson is such a good sport in there.  We did have some fun out of the car like lunch with our friend and a free ice cream at Dippin' Dots.

Emerson started a class today at the rec center here called Tumbling Tots.  He loved it.  They have song time and stretching, then they go out and play with little activities.  Today was based on balancing so they had all sorts of items to balance on.

Emerson chose his outfit today.  His hoodie is a sice to big.  His shoes and vest is a size to small.  And his pants fit great.  He is so funny.

In attempting to get pregnant again.  I am working on losing some weight.  So today I started Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.  I actually think that I am going to like it.  It isn't too long, and it is doable with feeling that I am getting a good workout.   Emerson is my little workout buddy.  He does weights, punches,  and jump jacks right along with me.

 I love Emerson's creativity.  He wanted a bed to lay in while watching his show, so he made one.

 Today was a non-rainy day here, so we went outside and played for a little while. 

It was nice to be able to be outside with out worrying about getting wet.

I have been putting away Christmas today.  I always dread this day, but it has to be done so I can enjoy it again next year.

I love my christmas tree ornaments.  The colors are so pretty.

2011: Day 17 of 365

Last night, we had some friends over.  We ended up talking until 3 am (which I loved because I got to hold their 4 week old baby the whole time).  But needless to say, today was a recovery day, so Emerson has been reading books a lot today.  Emerson loves "reading" books.  He is great at pointing out all the letters and even can recognize a couple words like "Emerson" and "blue".  He is so smart. 

Plus, look at how he sits.  I love when he does that.

I have spent the day printing and addressing the invitations for my friend's baby shower.  Emily made these cute invitations for me.  I love them!

Emerson is getting to the "Let me do it" stage.  It is very much a loved and hated stage.  I love watching his mind learning and figuring everything out, but I hate how long it takes for usto get ready to leave the house.  Today was Emerson's first attempt at putting his own shoes on.

Every year I make a calendar of with pictures from the year before for our parents.  This year, I had decided that I wasn't going to make it because of my lack of photos.  However, I got a request for it, so I started looking into my photos and realized that I could do it!  So, I have been making the calendar for this year...it will just be a little late.

 All morning Emerson insisted on having a picnic and pizza.  But since it is so cold outside, the picnic had to be inside.  So I made him his first Tontino's pizza and let him eat it on a blanket.  He loved his picnic and pizza.  I wish that he would always be so easy to please.

 I am grateful for photography. 

I love taking pictures. 

I love having pictures to remind me of the past. 

I love the emotions and memories that photography can bring out. 

I love that Emerson loves taking pictures. 

He loves this point and shoot that we let him use. 

I love that he goes around saying "I cheesed you". 

I love that he takes pictures of his toys and poses them.

I love that he gives his toys "treats" for taking good pictures.

Photography (and Emerson's imagination) just makes me happy.
