2013: Day 18 - Pillow and Piper

We just got that cute owl pillow.  Piper just had to be in the pictures with it too.

2013: Day 17 - Floor

Today Piper finally has figured out that she can be put down for more than 30 seconds without screaming.  Lets hope that this isn't just a phase.

2013: Day 15 - Preschool

Emerson's school has been closed the past week due to a stomach virus outbreak.  Thankfully we didn't catch it.  Emerson is so excited to start back up.

2013: Day 14 - Piper

2013: Day 13 - Sunday Breakfast

Our church time moved to 1:00 this year.  I have had really mixed feeling on this time, but my very favorite part of this new time is the low stress Sunday mornings.  We were able to make some Baked French Toast and spend some time as a family before we had to go to church.

2013: Day 12 - Cold

I was really cold in our house today, so Emerson went around with his hat on.    I love how his big brown eyes just stand out with it on.

 

2013: Day 11 - Emerson's Photography

Emerson took pictures of me and Piper today.  He felt so proud in his photography skills.  This is the only one that was in focus and had any part of our faces.  He  has some mad skill.  Maybe a natural talent. :)

20213: Day 10 - Piper

I particularly love her outfit today. {Especially her boots.}  She is just so beautiful.

Emerson just has to come bomb every photo op.  I love her face her again. 

2013: Day 9 - Tag Reader

Emerson played with his tag reader all morning.  He gets new ones from the library on Wednesdays.

2013: Day 8 - Baby Boots

I found these little boots while shopping at Fred Meyer's today.  I think that they are one of my favorite things I have bought for Miss Piper so far.  They are just adorable on her.

2013: Day 7 - "Piper, You're the best"

 I was in the other room and listening into Emerson today.  He was talking to Piper and said "Piper, you're the best.  I love you.  You are so cute."  I hope that he will keep this love that he has for his little sister.  I love this sibling bond that they have.

 I had to put these other two pictures up.  The one above is just so typically them.  Emerson is doing some weird thing while getting pictures and wearing some sort of super hero outfit and Piper has her hand in her mouth.  It is a miracle that I get so many picture without them in her mouth.  They are always there.  Piper's face in the one below just cracks me up!

2013: Day 6 - CTR 5

Emerson moved up a class today in Primary.  He is now in CTR5.  He is now convinced that he is 5 years old.  He loved his teacher last year, so it was a little difficult for him to change classes, but he has another great teacher this year.  So, he is going to love his class.

2013: Day 5 - Castle Panic

Emerson declared today a "Game Day".  It was a fun day of playing games with him.  I love when he is cooperative and wants to play games with us.  Our new one Castle Panic has become one of my favorites.

2013: Day 4 - Naptime

2013: Day 3 - Reading to Piper

 First thing this morning, Emerson came and laid down next to Piper and said "What do you want to do?  I know.  Let's read a book!"  Then he went and got a book and read it to her.  I love that he loved to take care of Piper and loves to be with her.  I also love how great of a reader he he become.  It amazes me when he sits down and can read a book--even if it is mostly just plain letters.

2013: Day 2 - Blessing Dress

Piper was blessed in Georgia back in November, but I didn't get many pictures that I loved.  So, I put her dress back on today before it didn't fit anymore and before she looked too much more grown up.  I love the pictures that I got of her today.  She is such a beauty.

Welcome to the month of Love.  We love February.

{2012} Day 31

Emerson loves going to to librbary.  He especially loves playing with these education that they have.  I always have to make sure that we have time to play if I take him with me. 

{2012} Day 30

It was not a fun day today.  It was a day full of tantrums and door slaming.  Emerson did not want to clean his room, so he made it into a full day of anger.  Eventually I started "throwing away" his toys and he immediately started cleaning and even was able to earn his toys back.  I hope he doesn't have more days like this.

{2012} Day 29

Emerson got to say prayer today in Primary.  He practice a lot the week before.

Here is the prayer that he was prepared to give:

"Dear Heavenly Father.

Thank you for church.

Thank you for Primary.

Thank you for our teachers.

Help us to be good.

I love you.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

{2012} Day 28

Though I had to leave for a pictures, today was a lazy stay in your PJ's type day.  I love days like that.  Especially when they are surrounded by busy days.

{2012} Day 27

Tomorrow I am going to be taking some engagement pictures, so I decided to go test out the spot that we were thinking of going.  I had Emerson as my model.  It was the first time in a long time that he was cooperative taking pictures.  He just went spot to spot and was so excited to get his pictures taken.  I love when he gets that way.  Maybe he is finally learning that he has a mommy that is much happier when he is good for pictures.

{2012} Day 26

We had a picnic in the back yard today.  It is nice being able to spend time outside...especially in January.

{2012} Day 25

We had some great weather today, so I took Emerson to the park.  He loved trying to climb all the big rocks.

{2012} Day 24

Emerson has started playing pretend recently.  It is so great.  Today his was all about the slinky being his fishing pole and he was catching fish all day.

{2012} Day 23

After Emerson's gym class today, we were walking out to our car and was hearing a really loud bird noise.  I started wondering what it was and turned around and saw the field full of birds.  You can only see about a third of what was there in this picture.  It was so cool.

{2012} Day 21

We decided to pull out the marble race again today.  It is such a fun toy especially after it has been put away for a few months.

{2012} Day 20

Bedtime is Jason and Emerson time.  I really love that they have the time to bond.  One of Emerson's favorite parts of the bed time routine is brushing his teeth.  He loves getting his teeth flossed because he is a big boy and then he has a light up tooth brush (what's not to love about that).

{2012} Day 19

Since we have been so sick in our house this week, we made today a play day.  We had class in the morning, then we went to McDonald's for lunch and a lot of play, then we went to Dairy Queen for some icecream, and finally to the chuch for play group.  It was a fun day.
