Day 140: Watch

I have been watchless for a few months now, and it drives me crazy to not have a watch. I have been watch shopping for pretty much the whole time that I haven't had a watch, but again I had something very specific in mind. I was looking at the watches at JcPenney and stumbled across the perfect watch! I love it. And it was on sale!!!

Day 139: Pictures

We went and got Emerson's pictures taken today. I think that it turned out pretty cute. It was really stressful because after the first picture Emerson never looked at the camera or smiled. At least he did for one picture.

Day 138: Fountains

Today we spent most of the day over at Magnolia Park. Emerson liked the fountains, but the majority of the time he was wanting to go play on the playground. It is a really bad combination having fountains and a playground with bark. They weren't thinking when they designed that.

Day 137: BBQ Swing

We went to out friend's house for a BBQ today. The hit (besides the food) was the swing. It was pretty much constantly going.

Day 136: Cars

Cars. That is the favorite in our house currently. Everything has to go vroom. It is so fun.

Day 135: Grass phobia

Emerson has a fear of walking on grass. Whenever we get to the edge of grass, he wither just stands there until we pick him up, or he will crawl. Walking is just out of the question.

Day 134: Milk and Water Concoction

Emerson loves to drink his milk at the same time as his water. It is really a common scene seeing him with both his milk and his water at the same time. I think that it is pretty funny.

Day 133: Eyes

Pretty much with out fail if someone comments on how cute Emerson is, they say something about his big beautiful eyes. (Today alone we had 7 people comment about his eyes.)

Day 132: Shoes

I have never been a big shoe person. However, when I got my luggage stole, I had to go shoe shopping to replace my shoes that I have had forever. I actually had some fun shopping for shoes this time, and I think that I chose out some really cute shoes.

Day 131: Little People

We love little people in our home. I think that they are adoreable and Emerson has so much fun lining them up and playing with them.

Day 130: Mom's Day

I had the best Mother's Day today. Emerson bought me chocolates and made me Chocolate Chip Pancakes (all with the help of Daddy). I love Emerson and feel so blessed to be his mom.

Day 129: Piggy Back

We love piggy back rides in our house. Emerson especially loves when Daddy gives them.

Day 128: Broom

Emerson's new favorite toy is the broom. He loves to walk around with it. Also another new obsession is standing by the window and watching the world go by.

Day 127: Center Piece

I have been in constant search for a table center piece that I just love. I had very specific guidelines for what it had to be (which usually means that I will never find it). However, while I was shopping at Down East Home while in Idaho, they had what I was wanting...colors and all!!! I was able to put them on my table today and I LOVE it! (...and best of all is the bowl was free with my purchase and the balls were on sale for only $3 each!!!)

Day 126: Anniversary

Today is Jason and my four year anniversary! We spent the day relaxing and playing with Emerson. It was a great anniversary.

Day 125: Middle of Mess

Emerson is always in the middle of some sort of mess. The mess could be toys, clothes, food, and so much more. But he is always super cute, even though he is making messes every where he goes.

Day 124: Giveaway Winner

I won an apron from Olive Juice and Company while I was in Idaho. Today I got it in the mail. I love my new apron!

Day 123: Coming Home

We had to head home from Idaho today. We are going to miss playing and hanging out with Grandpa Bruce, Grandma Sue and Aunt Julie. We hope that we could visit again soon!

Day 122: Dutch Oven

Grandpa Bruce is an excellent dutch oven cook. He made it for us and some friends while we were visiting. He made us Bacon wrapped chicken, cilantro-lime rice, Mexican Potatoes, and yummy yummy apple dumplings. It was so delicious!

Day 121: Family Pictures

We went out to the Railroad Tracks out in Sugar City to take some family pictures for my mom's Mother's Day gift. I really love this one. It is just so Emerson.

Day 120: Hanging with Aunt Julie

I had to run some errands today. So, I had Aunt Julie watch over Emerson. He just sat on her lap and watched as she played World of Warcraft. He really liked turning the volume up and down.

Day 119: Rocks

Emerson has a new favorite toy...rocks. Whenever we go outside, the first thing that we have to do is find a rock. Then, Emerson is as happy as can be holding his rock.

Day 118: Monsters in P.J.'s

Today started off pretty rough. Emerson screamed for about an hour straight until we figured out that he had a BAD diaper rash (must be something about him and Idaho). So we got him some desitin, and then he became as silly as can be. He loved turning around in circles trying to get these monsters out of his P.J.'s. It was really funny.

Day 117: Coming Soon

This one was one is in a file that my computer currently won't read, so we will get this one up A.S.A.P.!!!

Day 116: Snuggling Up

Lately it is a rare occation when Emerson will just snuggle up to you. Grandpa Bruce was lucky to catch Emerson in just the right mood when he got home from doing his Bishop duties that he got a snuggle from Emerson while they watch Jason play video games.

Day 115: Playing with Grandma Sue

Emerson loved playing blocks with Grandma Sue today. He loved her getting down and playing with him. I think that she really liked having an excuse to get down and be silly too.

Day 114: Traveling

We took the long road trip to Rexburg today. We got to stop in Boise for some lunch at Costa Vida! Emerson did great. Thank goodness he likes his car seat.

Day 113: Cheeser

I love Emerson's smile...especially when it is a cheeser.

Day 112: Makeup

Today I went and replaced all my makeup that was stolen. I love my bare minerals. It is the best makeup and totally worth every penny...plus it lasts forever!

Day 111: Temple

Emerson and I went to the Portland Temple today to walk around. He loved it. They had a fountain there that he just walked around and a around and around. Every once in a while, he would stop and walk up to the fountain's edge and point at the water, but very quickly he started walking around the fountain again.

Day 110: Bean Bag Chair

This is a new pretty common scene for Emerson. He loved sitting on this bean bag chair and look out at all the other houses.

Day 109: Cute Boy

I just love that smile!

Day 108: Independence

Emerson is growing up way to fast. He is becoming a lot more independent. Tonight we went to the consignment sale for the 50% off sale and while we were in line, he made a dash out the front door. He didn't care at all that we weren't there with him. I am going to start having my hands full with him now that he has decided to be independent.

Day 107: Cruise Info

Today all the information about our cruise got here! I can't believe that I am going to be in Alaska so soon. Now, I hope that I can figure out all the motion sickness stuff before I go so I can enjoy it.

Day 106: Consignment Sale Finds

I like to go help out the a consignment sale that occurs twice a year. The major plus of helping out is that I get to be one of the first shoppers. SO I get first pick of all the in demand items such as stride rite shoes, little people (like the nativity), and the cheap cute baby legs.

Day 105: Night time Bear

Meet Mr. Bear. You will never see Emerson more excited to see someone or something as his is when he sees this bear. He really loves him. He only gets him at night time, but sometimes, I see him pull him out if his crib and hug him. It is really cute.

Day 104: Worn Out

Emerson was just playing by himself on the ground in his room while I was on the computer. When all of the sudden he got really quiet. I looked over and he had fallen asleep on the floor. He must have been super tired because he usually goes wild when he is tired, not lie down and go to sleep.

Day 103: Going Home

The trip home went a lot better than coming out. Emerson slept most of both flights. One of the flights was pretty empty, so Emerson got his own seat. I think the highlight of the trip home for Emerson was the Jamba Juice that we bought in Denver. He really didn't want to share any of it with me. I love that he can suck through straws now!

Day 102: Easter

We had a great Easter. The Easter Bunny found us all the way out here in Georgia. Emerson loved his Easter basket. We went to Lilburn to go to church. I totally LOVE that ward. I miss so many of the people there. After church we went to the Putnam's to go on an Easter egg hunt. Emerson just stood in one place and played with his three plastic eggs that I put in front of him to find. It was really cute.

Day 101: Natalie's House

We went over and spent the day at Natalie's today. Emerson loved playing with the rocking chair that she has.

Day 100: Family

I love being around my family. I think Emerson does too. He is usually able to go up and beg for food and get it.

Day 99: Me

I have spent a lot of time on United's website this week trying to figure out what to do about my lost bag. It is going to be a pain, but hopefully I will be reimbursed for almost everything that was in my bag.

Day 98: Sharing

Emerson loves baby Austin. He especially loves sharing things with him by hitting him in the face. I think that we need to work on being soft about now.

Day 97: Swing

We put Emerson in Austin's swing just to see what he would do. I thought that he would totally try to get out, buthe just sat there and watched Blue's Clues and then fell asleep. It was so cute. Like I have a little baby again.

Day 96: Cousins

It was a fun day of playing with cousins today.

Day 95: Traveling

We traveled to Georgia today. It was an adventure. When we got onto our first flight, there was a dog in my seat. So, I had to walk to the very back of the plane because you can't turn around while loading. I was holding three bags and Emerson--all while Emerson was losing his shoes because he was kicking his feet. I had the flight attendant figure out what happened. It turned out that the lady that had the dog forgot to tell the airline that she was traveling with a seeing eye dog (which by the way I think definitely has to be checked due to others allergies). So, she got moved. And I had to sitting the seat that the dog was in and there was hair EVERY WHERE. I was so mad about that. If you know me, you know how much a can not stand dogs and this just made me extremely mad the whole first flight.

My second flight was on a small plane. So, they asked me to check my little bigger bag. So, without thinking, I gave it to them to check. As we took off, Emerson pooped all over himself. Right them I realized that all of the changing stuff was in the bag that I checked, and he was the only baby on the plane. So, I had to sit there and hold him the whole flight. I felt so bad because he couldn't move around like he wanted to and the other on the plane had to smell his nastiness.

When we got off the plane, I was SO excited to get my bag and be able to change him. So I waited to get my bag at the gate and all the other bags and Emerson's stroller came off, but not my bag. This bag had my camera, camcorder, and all the changing stuff in it, so I had to get it. I told them that I needed them to find it. It took them a few minutes, but they found it.

We walked out to the baggage claim and met up with Emily and my mom. Emily decided to go change Emerson while I got my bag. My mom and I walked up to the carousel to get my bag and the car seat. All the bags had already been taken off of the carousel by the airport personnel. My car seat was there, but NOT my bag. They said that it was taken off the plane in Atlanta, so I think that it must have been stolen from the carousel while I was waiting for them to find my other bag. Talk about not a happy person now!

Day 94: Playing at the Park

It was such a beautiful day today. We just had to get out, so we went to a park that is just down the street from us. Emerson loved the swing, sliding down the slide for the first time, and standing on a moving balance board.

We have been teaching Emerson sign language a little. He has the sign for milk down. He was doing it most of the time when he was swinging.

Day 93: Packing

We pulled out the bag to start packing to go to Georgia today. Emerson loved playing in it.

Day 92: Heat Pump

Today we had to spend all day at home because we got a heat pump installed. I can't wait to have some cool air this summer!!!

Day 91: Simply the Best

I took a bunch of photos of Emerson today, but none of them really turned out clean and crisp. However when I saw this one, my heart melted. I just love this kid SO much. He is really the best!
